This scam was well thought out, since on Facebook and Instagram, scammers have created pages “Fan Action”. Posing as an official Facebook page of the brand, a contest is offered to earn discounts and vouchers. To participate, Internet users simply had to comment on the publication with a keyword. This technique improves the SEO of the publication so that it gains visibility on the social network.
Then, once the publication was commented on, Internet users were then contacted by private message. The administrators send a form to fill out, on a site which strongly resembles that of Action. The purpose of the form is therefore to collect your personal data, so it is phishing or phishing. To spot a scam and avoid falling into the trap, pay particular attention to the URL address of the site you landed on. Check in particular that the site is in “https” and a padlock appears at the top left of the link.
