In Vienna-Favoriten, customers in a bakery were amazed when they saw a pigeon doing its business on the ground next to the fruit stored in the bar.
Photos from an attentive “Krone” reader reporter show the animal culprit at 12:45 p.m. in the branch on Vienna’s Reumannplatz. The pigeon had unabashedly defecated on the floor twice. Employees gave way Much to the annoyance of customers, not even the staff should have tried to scare the pigeon out of the restaurant. Quite the opposite: The employees are said to have even skilfully avoided the white pile. Especially since it should be common knowledge that pigeons in the big city in particular can transmit various bacterial diseases such as salmonella or viral diseases through their droppings. The company has yet to comment on the incident out.
