THE QUESTION. In recent days, getting the result of an antigen or PCR test can take much longer than usual. The SI-DEP platform, which stores the results of these examinations and transmits them to those tested, is experiencing difficulties in processing the millions of weekly screenings.

The consequent increase in the number of entries into the platform in recent weeks does not in itself justify these slowdowns. The Directorate General of Health (DGS) points to another disruptive element: cybercriminals. They attackregularlyto the platform for several months.
This willingness of hackers to want to block and penetrate SI-DEP’s servers represents a danger for the personal data of millions of French people who are recorded there. Is the platform at risk of being the victim of a leak of its information as other health organizations have been?
