(AOF) – Thales has chosen to partner with Google Cloud to strengthen its detection and response capabilities to cyberattacks on organizations’ information systems. Through this partnership, Thales is developing a global SOC platform, based on Google Cloud’s cybersecurity expertise and technologies, such as Google Security Operations, VirusTotal, and Mandiant’s Cyber Intelligence, the all powered by generative AI.
This platform draws on the network of eleven Thales SOCs already deployed, based on cloud or hybrid technologies and able to be connected to on-premises environments.
Thales customers will benefit from the combined expertise of the two groups in cyber threat analysis and the latest advances in AI.
This next-generation SOC provides organizations with rock-solid protection against the most sophisticated cyber threats, with uncompromising system monitoring, accurate and reliable attack detection, rapid and effective incident response and constant vigilance.

The end of a duopoly?
For several decades, the American Boeing and the European Airbus have shared 99% of the world market for airliners with more than 110 seats. This market is worth more than 100 billion dollars per year. However, this duopoly appears weakened in 2022 for several reasons. First, for the first time, two medium-haul single-aisle aircraft, the C919 from China’s Comac and the MC-21 from Russia’s Irkut, are preparing to enter service. Added to this is the Boeing 737 MAX crisis. With the cessation of deliveries of this aircraft between 2019 and 2021, the production balance has been disrupted.
