In the absence of official support, a mod allows you to take advantage of AMD’s promising FSR 2.0 on Cyberpunk 2077.

Directed by PotatoofDoom1337, this mod allows you to take advantage of the latest iteration of upscaling technology on the very greedy title from the Polish studio CD Projekt RED.

Positive glitch in Night City

Until now, only NVIDIA’s DLSS and the less convincing FSR 1.0 have satisfied Night City’s ogre appetite for performance. For this, it was unfortunately mandatory to have an RTX graphics card.

With this unofficial integration of AMD’s FSR 2.0 into Cyberpunk 2077, everyone can benefit from very appreciable performance gains. As a visual aid sometimes speaks louder than words, here is a comparison video made by MxBenchmarkPC.

For his part, PotatoofDoom1337 indicates that he tried the FSR 2.0 via his mod in 4K, with all the graphic parameters pushed to the maximum on an aging GTX 1080. Thanks to AMD’s latest generation technology, he claims to have doubled his image count per second to arrive at 45 fps.

If you also want to take advantage of its creation, go to the page Nexus Mods dedicated, cited in source below. All the necessary files plus an installation guide will allow you to see Night City in a new light, whatever your configuration.

PotatoofDoom1337 warns, however, that his mod is currently only in the state of ” Proof of concept “. Those who want to try it should therefore expect to encounter a few bugs.

Between a significant performance gain and more bugs in Night City, it will therefore be necessary to choose.
