Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt RED is thinking big with a live-action project from a renowned company

Since the launch of the extension Phantom Liberty and the big update 2.0, Cyberpunk 2077 is back in force on our consoles and PC. It has also just been entitled to a 2.01 patch which resolves a whole bunch of problems. But it is not the game that interests us this time nor its sequel in development under the project name Orion. After the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on the side of Netflix, CD Projekt RED now has an adaptation in its pipeline live-action taking place in this same futuristic universe !

The studio announced the news via a Press releaseletting us know thathe joined forces with Anonymous Content to design this project in real shotswhich is only at the beginning of its development in close collaboration with the game’s creative team. If this name doesn’t mean anything to you, the productions of this company will necessarily mean something to you, True Detective And Mr. Robot being cited. We must therefore expect a series. AC Studios is currently working on another license drawn from a video game universe, Life is Strange, which is struggling to materialize. At the head of the project, we find Garret Kemble, Head of Television at the house of Anonymous Contentdevelopment director Ryan Schwartz, creative director David Levine, as well as Bard Dorros and Charlie Scully.

Currently, a screenwriter is needed to tell a new story in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, suffice to say that it is not tomorrow that something concrete will be shown. Knowing that the studio is able to call on renowned actors like Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, we can expect a lot if the budget follows.

It is recalled in passing that a board game Gangs of Night City is under development by CMON next to a Kickstarterwhile a novel called Cyberpunk 2077: NO_COINCIDENCE exists, published in France by Panini Comics and which you can obtain on Amazon Or to the Fnac at the price of €16.
