Cyberpunk 2077 could get transmog system
In Cyberpunk 2077, you often have to swap out clothes that you like visually for clothes with better stats. Especially on the higher levels of difficulty, your style often falls by the wayside. The cool leather jacket is useless if you die within seconds. The ugly parka is just four times as good as the jacket, so you put on the rags.
Although your favorite pieces can be upgraded, it costs a lot of resources for an entire outfit. A solution requested by many fans is a transmog system. With this you could then change the look of your clothes while keeping the good values. A modder has now found evidence of such a feature in the new patch 1.5 data.
Modder finds references to transmog system
Among other things, DJ_Kovrik developed the “Hide You Gear” mod for Cyberpunk 2077, which allows you to hide individual items of clothing in the game without losing the values. (Source: NexusMods). DJ_Kovrik shared via Reddit that the data after the Patch 1.5 finds a command that allows “make invisible” for the two head slots. This function is currently deactivated for Cyberpunk, but can be activated using the “Game.EnableTransmog()” command. (Source: Reddit).
So it could be about the basis for a transmog system act, which CD Projekt Red wants to implement in an upcoming patch. Or maybe it’s just a remnant of a deleted feature. DJ_Kovrik’s find should only increase fans’ desire to shine in Night City not only with their actions, but also with their looks.
