After the release of its expansion last year, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to be played by many players who have fun making the experience ever more impressive. Today, it’s thanks to a new mod with ultra-realistic lighting that enhances Night City.

Since its launch in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone numerous mods on PC to improve its gaming experience, whether for graphic or aesthetic reasons. Now that the game has been out for three years, it no longer has anything to do with its original version and even received an expansion last September. While the game is more optimized than ever, players are adding their two cents using graphics mods to make life in Night City even more realistic.

Night City, the life of all dreams even more beautiful

Last week, the user NextGen Dreams uploaded a video to YouTube presenting Cyberpunk 2077 with 8K graphics, no less, but above all a photorealistic rendering thanks to the work on the light. To present his work, the Internet user suggests a motorcycle ride through the desert, then into Night City itself to benefit from the artificial lighting which adds to the charm of the experience. And suffice to say that the result is stunning, if not photorealistic.

To do this, the Internet user uses version 2.1 of the game with obviously mods taking advantage of ray-tracing. To provide such faithful rendering, it also uses DLSS 3.5 and eSTIR GI Path Tracing technology. To run all of this, the player uses an Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card, which explains such rendering. In terms of mods that make such a result possible, we first find Nova LUT created by theCyanideX, another called “Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project” by a certain HalkHogan and finally a last one called Custom Photorealistic Reshade produced by NextGen Dreams. TAll this put together provides this impressive glimpse that makes Night City more real than ever. However, we can still point out that the video only shows driving phases and no combat, which we would have liked to see.
