Cyberpunk 2077 has lived a good life, and now players are starting to set their sights on its sequel. In the meantime, CD Projekt Red continues to deploy more or less large updates. Afterwards, we imagine that the studio is starting to take stock of the things to be fixed in the game or the additions expected by the players. But that would be forgetting that the community is also full of resources, as it has just proven with a new feature that makes the title even more beautiful.

You must probably have understood at this point, but we are going to talk about a mod. Cyberpunk 2077 had plenty of them, which impacted combat as well as the mini-map. This time, it attacks a very particular aspect of the experience: its textures. The mod “ Environment Textures Overhaul » aims to improve the quality of certain parts of the environment. The latter are not necessarily judged as being very pretty, but with this, opinions will undoubtedly change. Here is the description that we can read and indeed, it is rather massive:
This mod replaces many poor quality textures, whether in terms of architecture, terrain or environment, to make more faithful ones, while maintaining good optimization. It also includes new small mixtures and diverse and varied textures. Textures are made trying to match the base look, but always improve the quality while matching the environment better.

If you’re interested, this mod is already available on NexusMods since March 1st. Downloading is quick, simple and efficient. We are still told of a total of 170 new textures for Night City, which is quite an undertaking. Its creator has also revealed screenshots of his work, so that we can have a first opinion before recovering it. We have given you an example below, and we must admit, the result is quite convincing.
