Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and 2.0 will heat up the CPUs!

Cyberpunk 2077 was already demanding when it was released in December 2020, it is even more so for the graphics card since update 1.62 which introduced the path tracingbut soon, it will be the processor that will be put to the test with the extension Phantom Liberty and update 2.0.

Filip Pierściński, lead scene programmer on Cyberpunk 2077warned future players on social networks, the game’s expansion and patch will heat up PCs, with 90% utilization on certain eight-core processors. Suffice to say that the computer can be used as heating, or worse, deteriorate, if you do not have a good cooling system. Well, the developer still remains vague, it is not certain that the CPU very high-end Intel Core i9-13900K be worried, but if you have a processor that is already quite a few years old, be careful with the mousse heated.

On Steam, CD Project recommends an Intel Core i7-12700 or an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, so unless there is a last minute change, you shouldn’t worry too much. The release date of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is set for September 26, 2023, you can pre-order the expansion at €29.99 on GOG.com.
