Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will have exceeded the 5 million mark in just 3 months, give or take a few days. However, CD Projekt RED does not specify how many of these copies were sold through the Ultimate Edition, the ultimate version bringing together the base game and the expansion in the same package. Cyberpunk 2077 tout court had exceeded 25 million units sold in October 2023. Remember that a patch 2.1 was released last month to smooth out the last rough edges.

Excellent results which encourage CD Projekt RED to maintain its independence. THE chief strategy officer Adam Kiciński spoke in the columns of the Polish newspaper Parkiet to clarify his vision. “We do not want to be integrated into a larger entity. We have worked our whole lives to reach our current position. We believe that in a few years we will be even bigger, even stronger. […] Independence is particularly attractive, it is freedom.” Kiciński recalls that the studio has big ambitions for the future, starting with the remake of The Witcher as well as the fourth episode.
Kiciński wants to be optimistic about employment at CD Projekt, despite around a hundred positions being cut in 2023.I would rather say that our jobs will remain stable, some people will change teams. That said, I think we will increase our numbers in 2025.“This gives a small idea of the internal production schedule.
