What is Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition?
The story of Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in the futuristic megacity of Night City. It is in this dystopia that you play the character of V, a cyber-mercenary who is just starting his career. Like any self-respecting cyberpunk universe, class struggle and the use of technology are at the heart of the story. These two components are an integral part of the title from Polish studio CD Projekt RED, right down to its progression mechanisms.
Central element of the game, the city of Night City is one of the great successes of Cyberpunk 2077, and helps a lot with immersion. While it can feel a little empty at times, there’s plenty to do there, including plenty of dense, well-written side quests supported by complex storytelling and characters. The richness and beauty of the city, reminiscent of Los Angeles, extends both horizontally and in a stunning verticality.
Is this ultimate edition worth it at this price?
Less than €50 for a very rich game, which has corrected most of the flaws present at its release, it’s an excellent deal, especially if you’ve never played it. In addition to the extension Phantom Liberty, which adds around fifteen hours of gameplay, this edition contains update 2.0. The latter brings many important fixes to the game’s systems, mainly to the AI, gameplay, combat and even the police system.
And if you tried the game when it was released and came away disappointed, know that Cyberpunk 2007 has little to do with it today and is even one of the essential titles to play on PlayStation 5, but also Xbox Series and PC.
