We can discover the protagonists of the story, namely David, Maine, Dorio, Kiwi, Pilar, Rebecca and Lucy, the edgerunners at the center of this series thought as a stand-alone in 10 episodes. This traces the journey of a young man left behind in the sticky streets of Night City, who will embrace the career of a lawless mercenary to find a place in the sun.
Behind this animated adaptation of CD Projekt Red’s dented game, we find big names in Japanese animation such as director Hiroyuki Imaishi (gurren lagann, kill la kill, Promare), who will evolve in tandem with Masahiko Otsuka, but also artistic director Hiromi Wakabayashi (kill la kill), character designer Yoh Yoshinari (The school of little witches, BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yuto Kaneko (The school of little witches), based on the screenplay adapted by Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.GRIDMAN, Promare) and Masahiko Ōtsuka (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, kill la kill, Promare). The soundtrack will be composed by the no less illustrious Akira Yamaoka (silent Hill), to align prestigious collaborations with this project, the concept of which dates back to 2018.
