Cyberpunk will have its live-action – Cyberpunk 2077

Lovers of the Cyberpunk universe have been over the moon for several weeks. With the arrival of version 2.0 and the DLC, Phantom Liberty, there is something to do with the video game released in 2020. But now CD Projekt RED has just announced another excellent news, even more than a sequel of Cyberpunk 2077, which entered production recently, that of a live-action project.

A live-action in the Cyberpunk universe

While we don’t have a plethora of details, largely because the project is in its infancy, however, we know that the Polish company will work with the company Anonymous Contentwho has already worked on some renowned productions such as The Revenant, a film which earned Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar, or the series Mr. Robot and 13 Reasons Why.

For this project, CD Projekt RED will notably collaborate with David Levineformer vice president of drama series at HBO, a position which gave him the opportunity to work on True Detectice, Westworld and Game of Thrones. A good omen for this live-action film, which will obviously be eagerly awaited by fans of this universe rich in possibilities.

We will have to wait many more months before knowing more, but knowing thata Cyberpunk movie arrives is excellent news for everyone. An adaptation of more than one video game, which is not surprising when we see that the last ones have been rather profitable, like The Witcher (also CD Projekt), which boosted game sales.
