Elon Musk and his company Tesla have just unveiled their latest discovery: an electric miniquad for children.
This is not a joke. After Tesla beers, designed to make people forget the bitter failure of Teslaquilla in 2020, here is the Cyberquad. Tesla is now targeting the children’s toy market.
Failing to finally bring the Cybertruck out of production (normally, the process is underway, don’t worry!), Tesla is offering this small quad which is reminiscent of the angular lines of its pick-up. A quick overview of this toy, which is still worth its price.
A quad for toddlers with a special look
Some will love it, others will certainly find it appalling, but the challenges of a mass production vehicle and those of a children’s toy are not the same. In any case, the look is clearly a nod to the company’s future Cybertruck: an angular design, reminiscent of a SF vehicle from the 80s. The lighting signature, all in length, is also a tribute quite clear.
True to itself, Tesla offers a toy that is still high quality. The chassis is made entirely of steel, and the vehicle is powered by a more than sufficient 24-volt, 188 Wh battery. The motor is 350 watts. Its total range is 19 kilometers. The quad will have two speed modes to choose from, either 6 km/h or 13 km/h maximum. Padded seat, suspension and rear disc brake, for a weight of 48.5 kilograms: almost like a big one!
A price worthy of Tesla
Obviously, all this quality comes at a price. In France, the Cyberquad is already marketed at a price of 1,990 euros. A rather tidy sum, which not everyone will be able to afford to put on the table. For the same price, you can offer some very nice high-end bikes to your child, and as a bonus, they will get some exercise. You never know, if you want your toddler to sport the ultimate Tesla look, a Cyberquad jacket is also available for 95 euros.
On the Tesla Shop, the Cyberquad is available, but you will have to wait between two to four weeks for the product to be shipped. Notice to fans of the brand who would like to pass on the passion to their descendants! For children aged 8 to 12 only.
