At Cyril Hanouna’s microphone, Benjamin, a disabled listener, reacted to the increase in the AME budget in 2025. An inexplicable situation which makes him angry while he, the victim of very failing health, must payer un traitement plus de 1.000 euros par mois non remboursé par la Sécurité sociale.

This is an announcement that has not gone unnoticed in the 2025 budget project presented by the government: in 2025, the AME, state medical aid, will be funded up to 1.2 billion D ‘euros, against 1.1 billion euros currently. An increase that joins the drop in the rate of reimbursement by health insurance from 70% to 60%, reports Les Echos. Une situation difficile à comprendre pour Benjamin, un auditeur d’On marche sur la tête. “I can’t believe it, it’s like a stab in the heart.”

“I have a disability and a month ago, my health worsened and I had to be hospitalized urgently,” he says. Now back home, he says he has to pay for his treatments, “and in particular one of them which costs 1,000 euros per month, not reimbursed by Social Security”.

And to continue: “There are people who come from abroad, in an irregular situation, who come to take advantage of all the generosity of the French, who have the right to perform medical procedures which are not vital, we give them everything in a second. And I, who was born French, who paid contributions, worked, France tells me ‘no, don’t worry, you’re not a foreigner’.
