It’s high season on Tyrol’s ski slopes and many a winter sports enthusiast’s nerves are clearly on edge. A Czech (23) jerked out in the Sölden ski area on Friday afternoon after his girlfriend (22) was involved in an accident.
It was just after noon when a German skier (58) ran over the young Czech’s skis. This happened because the skier had to avoid another skier to avoid a collision. As a result, the 22-year-old fell and was seriously injured. The German wanted to help the woman, but her friend no longer allowed him to. Furious, he punched the 58-year-old in the face and broke his nose. The German had to be treated medically and the Czech had to be flown to the Zams hospital.
