On Reddit the man explains that when they started to organize their trip between friends, his baby was 5 months old. So he asked his wife if it would be okay for her and she was pretty calm. Only 6 months later, at the time of the trip, she changed her mind: “A few weeks before the trip she told me that she no longer wanted me to go and that I had to stay home because she was afraid it would be too much for her alone. I told her I understood why she was worried about it, but she had already agreed to me going, and I had committed about $1,000 (910€) and had the Airbnb in my name for us 12.” His wife did not accept his refusal to cancel the trip and became angry because, as he explains, the situation was exhausting for her: “Our son was in the midst of a sleep regression phase and he was waking up several times a night.
