A year after splitting up, the Daft Punk duo totally broke the internet with a Twitch live broadcast of an old concert from 1997 while announcing a reissue of their debut album, “Homework.”
To the general surprise of fans, Daft Punk popped up out of nowhere on Tuesday, February 22 on Twitter, a year to the day after their official split, by posting an image of their logo, which directly sparked many reactions and theories.
However, a few hours later, all the theories on a possible return of the duo fell apart when the group announced a reissue of their first album, “Homework” which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, while launching a live on Twitch in which fans could relive a 1997 concert in Los Angeles in which the tandem formed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo were without headphones.

According to Variety, the reissue of this album will include the original album as well as a remix disc of several hits.
When it comes to live Twitch, fans were thrilled to step back into the past during an era that had a huge impact on everyone’s minds.
In total, nearly 170,000 spectators were present in front of this concert which totally unleashed the crowds on social networks.
So there is Daft Punk who is breaking Twitch with a live rerun of 1997 in front of 175k people 1 year after their separation, by creating their channel in speed and with simply a 3 hour teaser, i.e. 2 images and 1 story . OK.#DaftPunk pic.twitter.com/30wow1oly1

Seeing these images of Daft Punk’s 1997 live, I have monstrous memories that go back to their performance “Alive” in 2007 that I had the chance to see at the Arènes de Nîmes… damn, I had taken a slap at the time, without realizing how lucky I was

When we listen to Daft Punk’s 1997 live, we say to ourselves that she still misses this carefree period, without telephones and social networks, where only the music alone did everything ?

And even though the long-awaited announcement of the duo’s possible return has ultimately not arrived, fans are hoping that new concerts like this will also be streamed on Twitch in the future.
