A bang for the fans: Florian Brunner is leaving Lansing! Actor Tommy Schwimmer gets out of the series "Dahoam is Dahoam".
Tommy Schwimmer (32) is leaving the popular early evening series "Dahoam is Dahoam" after 13 years (since 2007, weekdays, 7:30 pm, BR). The Bavarian actor announced on Friday.
"It's been a great year at 'Dahoam is Dahoam', but now it's time to try something else," he explains. "I've always enjoyed playing Flori, but in addition to such a large, continuous role, there is little room for new professional challenges," said Schwimmer. He has played the main role of Florian "Flori" Brunner since the series began.
Not an easy farewell
Of course, saying goodbye to swimmers after so many years isn't easy. "I will miss Lansing very much. Playing in a series like this is not just a job," he explains in an interview with BR. The actor does not yet reveal how his career will continue. Just this much: there are already new plans, but they are not yet ready to be announced. Until then, he will first enjoy his free time.
The farewell sequence with Tommy Schwimmer as Florian "Flori" Brunner in the fictional village of Lansing will be broadcast on Bavarian television on February 22nd at 7:30 pm.
