The "Star Wars" heroine Daisy Ridley and other British celebrities will collectively raise funds for the fight against cancer this spring.

In the spring, 20 celebrities from different fields will prove their skills in the oven on British television. They will take part in the show "The Great Celebrity Bake Off" and choose the best celebrity baker, as reported by the industry magazine "Variety". Four stars will compete against each other in a total of five episodes. The format is roughly comparable to "Das große Promibacken".

From the internet to the Hollywood star

Among other things, Daisy Ridley (28), who became known as Rey in several "Star Wars" films. Rapper Dizzee Rascal (36), actor James McAvoy (41, "Split"), Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall (28) and internet star and rapper KSI (27) also want to present their baking skills. Hit guarantor Anne-Marie (29) will also take part.

The celebrities want to collect donations for the charity project "Stand Up to Cancer", with which the research in the fight against cancer is to be supported. The program is broadcast on Channel 4.

From February 17th, eight celebrities in Germany will be kneading dough on Sat.1 at "Das große Promibacken". Here are: Singer Luca Hänni (26), "Let's Dance" winner Pascal Hens (40) and his former dance partner Ekaterina Leonova (33), actress Barbara Wussow (59), "Sat.1 Breakfast TV" presenter Daniel Boschmann ( 40), model Franziska Knuppe (46), actress Mirja du Mont (45) and Mallorca singer Jürgen Milski (57). The winner of the show can look forward to a trophy, the golden cupcake, and 10,000 euros for a good cause.
