Racing games based on the rally-raid of the Paris-Dakar have been around for a while now, but this is the first time Saber Interactive (MudRunner and SnowRunner) embarks on the adventure. His studio Saber Port launch today Dakar Desert Rally, an open world title :
Here, no stages in France or Senegal, Dakar Desert Rally is based on the 2020 and 2021 editions of the competition, in Saudi Arabia. The title includes over 20,000 km² of terrain with dynamic weather and the ability to race cars, motorcycles, trucks, quads and SSV under official licenses through the modes Sport, Professional and Simulationnot to mention online multiplayer.
- The authentic Dakar experience : more than 30 complete stages of the legendary Dakar Rally are to be discovered, with vehicles, teams and pilots under official license, as well as different hardcore and arcade game modes.
- A vast open world : Players can compete at high speed in vast environments allowing them to explore and chart their own path to victory. But be careful not to break down in nature.
- Dynamic seasons and weather : you will have to endure the bad weather of the four seasons with a complete day-night cycle. Sweltering sandstorms, scorching desert sun, rain, snow or even mud, players will have to face both the elements and the competition to win.
- Online single and multiplayer game : players can propel their rally raid career in single player mode, compete in online multiplayer mode with up to four players and create and share their own rally events with the world thanks to the roadmap editor personalized.
The developers will also launch shortly after launch the DLCs free Saudi Arabia Extended Map, with the 2020-2022 rallies and new areas. Finally, players can opt for an edition Deluxe with the Season Passwhich includes the DAF Truck Turbo-Twin and the Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 as well as the five packs of DLCs to come, which will add a new map, vehicles and two new events.
