Slab continues its integration within ChatGPT. This time, OpenAI announces that the images generated by its AI can then be edited using ChatGPT.
OpenAI is not only behind the most famous chatbot on the planet. Sam Altman’s firm is also known for its various AIs that can either generate videos like Sora, or of course, images, with Dall-E. The latter has for several months already been made available directly within ChatGPT, an interface through which it is possible to produce images. And from now on, to edit them!
Stronger interconnection between ChatGPT and Dall-E
We are moving ever faster on the OpenAI side. The latest innovation? The introduction of tools allowing today, when Dall-E is used directly on ChatGPT to generate images, to then be able to carry out edits on this same file on the same interface.
OpenAI has posted a video online which shows how this new feature works. We first see the generated image of a dog. Next, the user selects the two areas of the animal’s ears, then asks ChatGPT in writing to add ribbons there. Which is quickly done.
A novelty to find everywhere
The deployment of these editing tools is complete, since they can be found on computers as well as on the ChatGPT smartphone applications (iOS and Android). Enough to satisfy as many users as possible for the Californian firm.
As a reminder, Dall-E is currently only accessible directly on ChatGPT for subscribers to the company’s paid offers, namely ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Team. For those who still wish to be able to generate images using this technology, there remains one possibility: using Microsoft’s AI, namely Copilot. So, would you rather pay for access to OpenAI’s precision tools, or save money and go with Microsoft?
