France 3 is broadcasting this Sunday evening the new episodes of season 2 of “The Investigations of Dan Sommerdahl”, a Danish detective series adapted from the novels by Anna Grue.
Almost two years after the broadcast of the first season, Les Enquêtes de Dan Sommerdahl finally returns this Sunday, June 11 from 9:10 p.m. on France 3 for its season 2. Coming straight from Denmark, this detective series is taken from a collection of novels written by Anna Grue, the most widely read Danish author in the country.
In this new burst of episodes, Dan Sommerdahl (camped by Peter Mygind, whom we saw in Borgen), investigator with the Criminal Brigade of Elsinore, a charming Danish village by the sea, is confronted with new criminal investigations, when his private life has just taken a radical turn.
His wife, Marianne (Laura Drasbæk), has just left him. When his colleague and long-time friend Flemming Torp (André Babikian) finds himself on the street, the investigator pushes him to move in with Marianne. But what he ignores is that his teammate is in love with the latter.
A real threesome drama is woven as they try to spare each other’s feelings, while combining their private life with their police work, because the criminals continue to operate… And between the assassination of a world-famous guitarist, an arson attack and an investigation into a retirement home, Dan Sommerdahl and his team have their work cut out for them.
This season 2, composed of 4 episodes of 90 minutes, therefore sees the return of Peter Mygind, André Babikian and Laura Drasbæk, but also of Peter Gantzler (Svend), Lotte Andersen (Hanegaard), Julie Rudbæk (Bellahøj) and Mathias Käki Jørgensen (Benjamin).
If France 3 only offers season 2 of Les Enquêtes de Dan Sommerdahl this Sunday evening, it is worth noting that the detective series has already had a season 3 and 4 which were broadcast respectively in 2022 and 2023. Viewers are therefore guaranteed to find their favorite police officer for many other investigations.
