For the first time since the launch of this 2024 edition, a bonus of Dance with the stars was broadcast live this Friday March 22 on TF1. The first shows were actually all pre-recorded. This was a choice made by the production, which it had assumed and justified last January, during a press conference: ” This allows us to optimize the narration, ensure fluidity and present the cast in more depth.”
New pressure therefore, for the ten candidates still in the running, namely Keiona, Inès Reg, Natasha St-Pier, Black M, Roman Doduik, Adeline Toniutti, Cristina Cordula, Diane Leyre, James Denton and Nico Capone. Without forgetting that beyond the fact that they had to dance live, they were also submitted to the votes of all the fans of Dance with the stars, throughout the entire evening. Viewers indeed had the difficult task of choosing which couples would find themselves in limbo, before saving only one. Which was, again, something new.
As a reminder, before this bonus, which was devoted to films and series, we already had a small idea of the couples who appear to be favorites for final victory, and those who are on the contrary seem in danger. Thus, Inès Reg and Keiona have impressed since the start of the competition, alongside their respective dance partners Christophe Licata and Maxime Dereymez. On the other hand, Cristina Cordula and Jordan Mouillerac came close to elimination two weeks ago. During the last bonus, which saw Coeur de Pirate leave the adventure, it was Natasha St-Pier who did not rise to the occasion (she who, as a reminder, had strong tensions behind the scenes with Inès Reg). As for Nico Capone, he really appeals to the jurors, even if his participation this evening (he was finally present) was compromised due to severe respiratory problems. Black M was hampered by his back (but he was also there).
Diane Leyre eliminated from DALS 2024
But the question that everyone is now asking is: “Who is the couple eliminated from this new bonus?” Well, it’s about Diane Leyre and Yann-Alrick Mortreuil. They failed to convince the public. They then had a chance to catch up, but their performance once again fell short of spectator expectations. The former Miss France had difficulty in this adventure to really convince the jury, the public and the fans. Not to mention that his partner had “a cracked rib”…
Note that Natasha St-Pier, who was very complicit with her alleged rival Inès Reg, completely recovered after her last performance, and even impressed the judges since she obtained four “9”s (which therefore 36 points) after a sublime Argentine tango. She thus qualified directly for the rest of the competition, since no candidate did better than her this evening.
What audience for this live bonus?
As reported by our colleagues from Puremediasthis premium of Dancing with the Stars 2024 has attracted 3.09 million viewers, or 16.4% of the public aged four and over (4+) and 32.5% of women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty (FRDA-50) between 9:14 p.m. and 10:21 p.m. The second part of the show, scheduled from 10:30 p.m. to 11:47 p.m., retained the attention of 2.58 million fans (21.4% of the public and 39.8% of the FRDA-50). TF1 was beaten by France 2 which broadcast the series Crime suits him so well which attracted 4.33 million viewers according to Médiamétrie, or 23.6% of the public aged four and over (4+) and 4.3% of women responsible for purchases under fifty (FRDA-50).
