After several weeks filter information regarding season 13 of Dance with the starsTF1 finally revealed, during its press conference from January 25, 2024, the different celebrities who will participate in the adventure this year. It is therefore a 5-star casting which is announced with the presence of James Denton (the interpreter of Mike Delfino in the series Desperate Housewives), Cristina Cordula, Inès Reg, Diane Leyre, Caroline Margeridon, Natasha St-Pier and many other personalities. And for the long-awaited return of the program, the production hit hard with a thunder jury. We obviously find the serious Chris Marques, the flamboyant Fauve Hautot, but also Jean-Marc Généreux and a new face… Mel Charlot. Although she is not very well known in France, the young woman has nothing to be ashamed of his journeyand fully deserves his place alongside his colleagues.

Mel Charlot, originally from the island of Haiti and born in Canada, is a true passionate about dance. Since a young age, she has also the rhythm in the skinas she confided on September 17, 2023 to the Canadian media 7 days : “I knew very early on that dance would be part of my life, because it allowed me to express my emotions, to communicate in ways other than words.” If she first embarked on psychology studies, she quickly realized that this environment was not made for her and then turned to a dance school in 2010. She then specializes in Hip-Hopworks for big shows: Lip Sync Battle, So You Think You Can Dance, I Can See Your Voice, Mask Singer (American and Canadian version).
She also collaborates with Disney, plays in the musical comedy The Lion Kingand works with the biggest stars like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Pharrell Williams… In 2024, the choreographer and artistic director chooses the jury seat in Dance with the stars to make herself known to French viewers, alongside Fauve Hautot, Chris Marques and Jean-Marc Généreux (with whom she had shared the jury of the Canadian dance competition Revolution).
