LGBTIQ people and causes could represent potential terrorist targets worldwide, the US Department of State says in a travel warning.
US security authorities warned, particularly in the run-up to “Pride Month”, that terrorist organizations could target corresponding Pride events.
The U.S. government calls on its citizens around the world to be vigilant because: LGBTIQ people and causes may represent potential targets for terrorism worldwide.

“Due to the possibility of terrorist attacks, demonstrations, or violent actions against U.S. citizens or their interests, the State Department advises U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution,” the U.S. State Department said in a travel advisory. The risk of such attacks has increased. For example, citizens of the USA should be vigilant at Pride events. The Foreign Ministry did not provide any concrete information about such plans.
