Because with such neurological disorders there is sometimes a suspicion of a stroke – danger to life! For such an emergency, paramedics and emergency physicians were called in Illmitz on Wednesday. After the helpers had taken care of the 80-year-old patient, they decided to request the Christophorus 3 rescue helicopter.

Flown to the hospital
After the handover to the air rescue team, the patient was flown to a hospital in a stabilized state. “Operations like this show impressively that saving lives is always teamwork. Only if the cooperation between all emergency organizations works perfectly will the patient be optimally cared for, ”emphasizes an ÖAMTC spokesman.
