Accused of rape footballer Dani Alves is currently incarcerated in a prison northeast of Barcelona. As he acclimatizes to his new environment, he would have already delivered some confidences to his co-detainee, as reported by the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.
Dani Alves ready to accept decisions about his fate. Almost two weeks ago, the Brazilian footballer was jailed on an alleged rape charge. The former PSG player has thus integrated a cell of the Brians 2 establishment, in Sant Esteve Sesrovires in the northeast of Barcelona.
According to information from BFMTV, Dani Alves was the subject of a complaint filed at the beginning of January. The supposed facts would have taken place on December 30th. That day he had gone to a nightclub from Barcelona. According to the alleged victim, 23, the Brazilian international defender allegedly put his hand in her underwear before raping her. Charges that the person denies en bloc. “Yes, I was in this place, with other people, enjoying. And those who know me know that I love to dance. I danced and had fun without invading other people’s space. I don’t know who this lady is. No, I didn’t do what she said”said the footballer in a Spanish television program in early January.
Dani Alves: “Nothing scares me”
Pending possible parole requested by his lawyer, Dani Alves is acclimating as best he can to his new environment. He thus shares his cell with Coutinho, the former bodyguard of former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho in some Barcelona nightclubs. And according to information from the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, the 39-year-old right-back would have given some confidences to his co-detainee concerning the case for which he is incriminated. “The footballer has been left out, and the Dani who is here is one more (detainee)”he would have launched, before adding: “I will accept whatever happens. I left home when I was barely 15 years old. I have overcome very difficult and complicated situations in my life. It will be one more, it will pass. Nothing scares me.“
Dani Alves would also have told Coutinho that the relationship with the young woman who accuses him was consented. He would also have indicated that he would have had some hesitation in his declarations to the police because he feared that his wife discovered his infidelity.
