But Cannes is also events such as the inauguration of the photography of Daniel Angeli, great celebrity photographer. In effect, his famous shot of Simone Veilimmortalized in 1974, will be hung on Saturday May 21, 2022 on the pediment of the hospital that bears his name in Cannes.
For this inauguration, the artist was surrounded by his two daughters, Caroline and Charlotte, in the presence of David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes. This Instant’Années exhibition reveals historical and timeless photos of the famous paparazzo Daniel Angeli on the Félix Faure course, reports the site of Cannes.com. On the occasion of the 75and anniversary of the Festival, the Town Hall of Cannes and the Daniel Angeli Foundation are offering this interesting retrospective of its most beautiful captures of stars across the city. You can find thirty exclusive photos there, which are to be discovered from May 17 to 28, on the Cours Felix Faure.
Who is Daniel Angeli?
An exhibition that will allow cinema lovers to relive the atmosphere of the crazy years of the 7th international art on the Croisette. The one who has devoted his life to tracking the stars has decided to expose the backstage of this profession, in Cannes, in the open air. Originally from Rome, child of Italian immigrants, Daniel Angeli began his active life by developing photographs for a Parisian agency, Dalmas. He joined this agency the same day as the illustrious Raymond Depardon. Thus was born the vocation of Daniel Angeli, to meet people who have decided to live in the spotlight and draw their portraits.
