According to the report, the Passau District Court placed an advertisement in the newspaper in the Küblböck case, in which the following can be read: "The missing person is requested to report to the Passau District Court by 25 September 2020 at the latest (…) – Department for disappearance issues – to report, otherwise he can be declared dead. " In addition, all persons "who can provide information about the missing person are requested to report to the court by the specified time."

The 33-year-old singer, who became famous for the first season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 2002 and his shrill appearances on the casting show, went overboard in the early hours of September 9 in the sea area off the Canadian coast . The cruise ship was en route from Hamburg to New York.
