Daniel Radcliffe soon back in Harry Potter? His sharp response

In an interview with the New York Times, Daniel Radcliffe was asked if he would be interested in resuming his mythical role of Harry Potter. And the British comedian had a very clear answer on this subject.

Daniel Radcliffe Will he ever return to Hogwarts? The actor who embodies the famous Harry Potter a was interviewed by the New York Times to promote his upcoming film, The Lost City. On this occasion, he could not escape the questions of the journalists who questioned him on the rumors regarding his potential return in a film adaptation of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, sequel to books written by JK Rowling. But the British actor’s response may disappoint many fans of the saga.

Not the answer everyone expects, but I think if I was so able to go back (for the HBO special) and to appreciate this reunion, it is because it is no longer part of my daily life”,explained Daniel Radcliffe, before adding: “I’m getting to a point where I feel like I’ve made it out of ‘Potter’ without too much trouble. I’m really happy with where I am now and going back there would be such a massive change in my life.”

Daniel Radcliffe: “I will never say ‘never'”

The 32-year-old actor, however, does not rule out the possibility of one day reincarnating the most famous wizard in the world. “I would never say ‘never’, but the actors of Star Wars have had 30 or 40 years before returning. For me, it’s only been 10 years. It’s not something that really interests me at the moment.”he indicates, thus referring to Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, who returned to their iconic roles in the latest trilogy of Star Wars.

In December 2021, the director Chris Columbus – to whom we owe the first two parts of the adventures of Harry Potter – had told Variety magazine that he would like to adapt the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to the cinema. “A version of the Cursed Child with Daniel, Rupert and Emma would be a real cinematic treat. If you’re a geek or a movie buff, it’s kind of like what JJ Abrams did with Star Wars.” said the filmmaker. Rupert Grint and Emma Watsoninterpreters of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger have for their part never indicated if they would be ready to resume their role in this future project.
