US actor Danny Masterson has to answer in court. He is said to have raped three women.
The US actor Danny Masterson (45), best known from the sitcom “The Wild Seventies”, has to stand trial after a judge ordered a trial in Los Angeles on Friday. This is reported, among other things, by the industry magazine “Variety”. Masterson is charged with allegedly raping three women between 2001 and 2003. The actor has already denied this several times.
Up to 45 years in prison
The allegations against Masterson first became public in 2017. At that time, the police confirmed investigations against the actor, who was arrested and charged in summer 2020. He has since been released on bail. If convicted, Masterson faces a prison sentence of up to 45 years.
