PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) – Agri-food specialist Danone announced on Thursday three new appointments to its executive committee in order to strengthen the “short and long-term execution and innovation capacities of the business”.

Vikram Agarwal, who joined Danone in January, thus becomes general manager of operations in charge of cycles and purchasing, industrial and “supply chain” functions.

Isabelle Esser, for her part, has been appointed general manager for research, innovation, quality and food safety. She will join Danone in April 2022, the group said.

Henri Bruxelles has been appointed general manager for sustainability and strategic development. He is currently Danone’s “End-to-end Design To Delivery” General Manager.

“The strengthening of Danone’s executive committee, with in particular the contribution of two personalities with recognized expertise, marks an important step in returning to what makes Danone a unique company: passion for brands and innovation, as well as operational excellence, combined with a pioneering spirit in terms of sustainability, “commented Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique, quoted in the group’s press release.
