Fans certainly weren’t expecting her on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year and yet. Daphné Bürki adorned herself in her most beautiful looks and kept her legendary smile to climb the steps of the Cannes Film Festival. And if this presence made him shine, it is nevertheless in the greatest of sorrows she made her comeback on the media scene.

A few days earlier on her Instagram account, Daphné Burki spoke. She didn’t announce happy news like she usually does. It was not a happy time as she revealed that she had lost the man she calls her “love”, David. “My love, I love you with all my soul. Thank you for loving me like you did. You were so precious to your friends and family. You can walk in me, you will remain my light” she wrote in the caption of a photo in which the duo embraces.

Less than two weeks later, Daphné Bürki set down her suitcases on the Croisette. Where many would have found it difficult to face the crowds and the mourning, Daphné Bürki found the strength to move forward.

The Cannes festival saved her

Daphné Bürki gave an interview to the magazine 7 Days TV in its edition of Monday May 27. The opportunity for her to confide in the highlights of the festival which delighted her: “We had the best festival opening in a long time, in my opinion. Maybe I’m not very objective, because the presence of Meryl Streep always has an effect on me.” she declared before returning to there “special flavor” what was the event for her this year.

After a period of withdrawal from the air, I returned to work in Cannes, in fact. It’s a good prescription.” Between that and the love of her two daughters Hedda and Suzanne, Daphné Bürki has the best assets to continue to keep David alive through her.
