According to the ThisIsGame website (translation via Reddit), Nexon, a Japanese studio, accuses IRONMACE and some of its members, when they worked for this company, of having kept and then used assets and part of the code of a project, named P3 to set up Dark and Darker a times the new entity joins. Moreover, the vice-president of Nexon explains that this project has evolved and is now a mixture of PvE and PvP.
If former Nexon employees actually used any resources to develop Dark and Darker, this is a violation of confidentiality agreements and trade secret laws. but very quickly, IRONMACE, through the voice of its CEO, Terence Seung-ha, denied any theftexplaining that the code was built from scratch and most of the assets were purchased through Unreal, with the rest created in-house.
We got in touch through our usual channels and we don’t believe the recent rumors were intentional. We think they are probably due to a disgruntled third party.
NEXON suspects that their game assets were leaked.

In all cases, Dark and Darker development continues and, for the moment, no legal action has taken place and Nexon does not seem ready to take this step yet.
The release of Dark and Darker is scheduled for 2023, without further details.
