Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, PvP mode servers will not return

At the start of the year, while everyone was waiting for the release ofElden Ring, FromSoftware and bandai namco had an issue with their old titles. A modder had highlighted a security flaw allowing to take control of a PC via the modes pvp of the Dark Souls. The studios have therefore cut the online functionalities while waiting to find a solution.

Since, Elden Ring came out and Dark Souls III was entitled to an update last August to find its mode pvp. Today, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin benefits from the same patchat least in its version DirectX 11. The version DX9 will be entitled to an update soon, as well as Dark Souls Remastered. But for the original opus, it will be necessary to give up on the multiplayer mode.

Eh yes, FromSoftware announces thatit is not able to bring back Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition online servicesdating from 2012. The developers briefly explain that the title has systems that are too old to be adapted safely, fans of the game will no longer be able to enjoy the mode pvp. Solo mode is obviously still available, but it’s a huge part of the game, especially for fans hardcorewhich is here abandoned.

If you want a full experience of the first part, you must therefore turn to the remaster, Dark Souls: Remastered is available against €35.99 on Gamesplanet.
