Darkest Dungeon II: The RPG will be released on May 8 on Steam and the Epic Games Store


After the colossal success of the first Darkest Dungeon, Red Hook Studios needed to take his time to fine-tune the experience that would be Darkest Dungeon II. This sequel therefore went through the early access box at the end of 2021, before promising us a final release in February. The studio is indeed ready to tell us about its RPG, but only to announce that version 1.0 will be a little late, with however a real release date at stake.

A small overview of the trip thanks to a demo

The roguelike / RPG that puts us in command of a troop facing expeditions more dangerous than each other will soon see its early access end. Red Hook Studios announces today that Darkest Dungeon II will release its version 1.0 on May 8 on the Epic Games Store, but also on Steamwhile the early access of the game had been reserved for the Epic Games platform.

And to show that the title will have a strong presence on Steam, the studio announces in the wake that its game will participate in the Steam Next Fest, with a demo which will be accessible from February 6 (from 7 p.m.) to February 13. This demo will give us access to the four starting heroes (on a complete roster of 12 characters) with a complete region to discover, out of the five that will be available in version 1.0.

The progress between each game will not be preserved, however, but if you did not participate in early access and want to have an idea of ​​what this second episode is worth, don’t miss this chance.
