With Michael Michalsky, the new jury of “Das Supertalent” is complete. The inclusive nature of the casting format was decisive for him.

The new jury for the RTL casting show “Das Supertalent” is complete with fashion designer Michael Michalsky (54). Together with the Dutch presenter Chantal Janzen (42) and professional soccer player Lukas Podolski (36), he will soon decide on top or flop. The decisive factor for his acceptance was a special feature of the show.

Michael Michalsky: “Inclusion means the elimination of prejudices”

“One of the most important topics I’ve been dealing with for months is inclusion,” the 54-year-old designer explains to the broadcaster. “Inclusion means appreciation and recognition of diversity and the abolition of prejudices.” There is “no broadcast” on German television that “represents the principle of inclusion as strongly as ‘Das Supertalent'” – which is why Michalsky is “really looking forward to being part of the jury”.

Michael Michalsky, who was born in Göttingen, is no stranger to casting shows. Between 2016 and 2018, alongside Heidi Klum (48), he was a permanent juror for the ProSieben format “Germany’s next top model”. In 2012, the designer also sat on the jury panel at the VOX jury for the final of “The Perfect Model”.
