For the young woman named Evie, one thing is certain: Her birth 20 years ago should have been prevented. For this reason, she is now suing her mother’s then family doctor for an amount worth millions.
20-year-old Evie Toombes from Skegness, England, is young, pretty and has built a career as a show jumper. But the young woman is seriously ill, even if you don’t see it at first glance.

Since she was born she has suffered from spina bifida, also known as “open back”, which means that Evie has to be fed artificially around the clock on some days and at some point will likely have to rely on a wheelchair.
