Dave Chappelle
US comedian has to cancel appearances due to corona infection
US comedian Dave Chappelle has Covid-19 and is in quarantine. His allegedly Corona-compliant outdoor performances cannot take place.
Dave Chappelle (47, "Chappelle's Show") contracted the coronavirus. A spokesman for the American comedian confirmed this to several US media. Accordingly, the comedian and actor is currently in quarantine, he has no symptoms.
Comedian is tested daily
Chappelle has been organizing Corona-compliant open-air events since June last year. According to the US portal "TMZ", on Wednesday (January 20) he put on the first of five planned shows in an amphitheater in Austin, Texas. The remaining shows "have now been canceled," his spokesman said, among other things, "Deadline".
The statement goes on to say: Chappelle implemented applicable Covid-19 protocols at his shows, "which include rapid tests for the audience and daily tests for himself and his team". Just because of these "careful tests" it was possible to "react immediately with a quarantine and thus contain the spread of the virus".
