Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl is a big ABBA fan. In an interview, he even revealed his favorite song to the pop group.

Dave Grohl (52) revealed in an interview with “ZEITmagazin” that he has a crush on a Swedish pop band: The rocker is a big fan of ABBA. His favorite track of the famous group is “Dancing Queen”. When he hears this, he will turn himself into a “dancing queen”. “In my opinion, ABBA have never written a bad song. Even the new songs are amazing,” said Grohl.

The singer discovered his passion for music from a very early age. When he drove with his mother in the car, the two of them sang along with the songs that were on the radio, he said in an interview with the magazine. Dave Grohl has been part of the grunge formation Nirvana since it was founded in 1987. In 1991 the band became internationally known for the song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and the album “Nevermind”. After the death of front man Kurt Cobain (1967-1994), Grohl founded the Foo Fighters. He is still successful on stage with the band to this day.

Grohl can look forward to ABBA replenishment soon: At the beginning of September the Swedish band announced that, after a break of 40 years, they would be releasing the new album “Voyage” on November 5th. “I am so happy with what we have done,” said band member Anni-Frid Lyngstad (75) in a statement. She very much hope the fans would feel the same as her. The group also includes Agnetha Fältskog (71), Björn Ulvaeus (76) and Benny Andersson (74).

ABBA is considered to be one of the most successful bands in pop history. Her biggest hits include “Waterloo”, “Mamma Mia” and “Dancing Queen”. Their last studio album “The Visitors” was released in 1981.
