Minrocket was released last June on PC, then in October, Dave the Diver, a simulation and adventure game with big pixels which asks us to explore the seabed to catch fish during the day and to serve customers in a restaurant in the evening. A title full of qualities which earned him to be named to the Game Awards 2023 in the category Best Indie Game.
If Minrocket is in fact presented as the studio which develops and publishes Dave the Diver, it belongs to Nexona huge South Korean group. It is therefore difficult to consider the game as truly independent, its nomination to the Game Awards 2023 generated some debate, but ultimately, Dave the Diver did not win the award.
Despite this debate, which had reason to exist, Dave the Diver was a real success on PC and Switch. Mintroket has just announced that the game had exceeded three million sales since its releasethe studio thanks all the players and shares a nice artwork parodying the album cover Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band of The Beatles.
