Released on June 28, 2023 on PC before releasing on Nintendo Switch in October, Dave the Diver has convinced many fishermen. Indeed, the adventure game has just announced on its X account that it has reached 3 million copies sold.
This news is not so surprising in the end since the title had also been nominated in the “best independent game” category of the Game Awars. And this despite the fact that its Mintroket studio is actually a branch of Nexon.
It must be said that with its perfect mix of harpoon fishing in the depths of the Blue Hole and the management of your sushi restaurant, the gameplay of Dave the Diver is enough to make you addicted. Especially since fishing sessions are not synonymous with calm or boredom since you have to know how to manage your oxygen and deal with the numerous creatures that inhabit the depths.
Mintroket also seems not to have finished with its game since additional content in collaboration with
Dredge, another indie phenomenon of 2023, has been available for free since December 15. A good opportunity to (re)dive into Dave the Diverespecially since it still benefits from 20% off on Steam.
