David Bowie would have celebrated his 75th birthday on January 8th. His widow Iman has now dedicated touching posts to the singer on the Internet.

Iman Abdulmajid (66) remembers her husband David Bowie (1947-2016). On Saturday (January 8th) the musician would have celebrated his 75th birthday. The “Life on Mars?” Interpreter died of liver cancer about six years ago – he was 69 years old. Abdulmajid now shared a black and white photo on Instagram, on which she can be seen hugging her husband. “January 8th, memories for the ages,” she wrote, adding the hashtag “#BowieForever”.

Iman: “I exist here and there where you are”

In the form of another post, Part of her “#ImanDaily” series, Abdulmajid shared a touching statement: “I exist in two places, here and there, where you are.” In the comments, the followers gave her consolation. “Beautiful! Today I think of you and your family,” commented one user. “He’s still in our hearts. Think of yourself,” wrote another.

In an interview with “Harper’s Bazaar” the model made it clear in 2021 that after marrying David Bowie, she would never marry again. The Briton was Abdulmajid’s “true love” and she “wished we had more years”. Abdulmajid and Bowie married in 1992 and were a couple until his death. “It was a really everyday marriage. He was a very funny, warm gentleman,” she remembered the time with the cult musician.
