David Bowie: Special relationship with Paris
David Bowie has a lot in common with Paris, as the city announced on the occasion of the unveiling of the street. Bowie is said to have given his first concert outside of Great Britain here in 1965. Near Rue David Bowie is the concert hall where Bowie stopped off as part of his last world tour.
David Bowie also has a connection to Paris for personal reasons. The versatile artist proposed to his wife Iman (68) while traveling on the Seine in 1990. The couple were married from 1992 until Bowie’s death in 2016.
