David Schumacher has been in a relationship with Vivien Keszthelyi since 2018. There was a direct spark between Ralf Schumacher’s son and the Hungarian.
David Schumacher’s (22) partner is his rock. The son of Ralf (48) and Cora Schumacher (47) has been together with Vivien Keszthelyi (23) for six years. Like him, she is passionate about motorsport and has already achieved some success on the race track. “You always have something to talk about. You always know what it’s about and you have a topic that you always talk about,” explained Schumacher in an interview with broadcaster RTL about their shared passion for fast cars.
“We met through a mutual friend, it was a good fit from the start and it’s still a good fit now,” enthused Michael Schumacher’s nephew (55) about his partner. The young couple now lives together in Austria. But wedding plans are not yet in sight. “There’s still a bit of time left. I don’t even have a proper seat to earn money yet,” said Schumacher.
Keszthelyi gives Schumacher support
“She takes care of so much in the background, organization, paperwork. She is a great support. Also mentally when things aren’t going well,” said the 22-year-old about his partner. The racing driver, who is currently driving in the DTM, is working towards being admitted to the Nordschleife. This would allow him to take part in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
Schumacher can always count on his girlfriend’s support at the race track. She fully supports him in his professional decisions. “The most important thing now is that he gets the permit for the Nordschleife. For me it is better to be with him,” explained Keszthelyi.
Papa Ralf is also enthusiastic about Vivien
Ralf Schumacher (48) met Vivien Keszthelyi around four months after his son. “My father received her well, although he is usually rather reserved about something like this. The two got along well. Vivi is a woman who openly contradicts him. I think dad likes that,” reported Schumacher Jr the “Bild” newspaper in an interview.
Initially, however, the Formula 1 star had concerns about Keszthelyi’s support at his son’s races. “I grew up in a different generation where it wasn’t common to race when your girlfriend was there,” he told the paper. He was worried that David would be distracted from his concentration by Vivien.
