Days Gone: The creative director this time blames the testers for the critical failure of the game, too “wokes” for him

Since his departure from Bend Studio, John Garvin is adept at sound bites that make headlines, statements that go down well with the general public, and rightly so. After blaming the players who are asking for a sequel to Days Gone but who didn’t buy the game when it was released, the former creative director is now going after the press with the weirdest (not to say off-the-wall) argument we’ve seen about of this whole affair.

When you no longer know how to defend your game

In response to someone on Twitter wondering why the game didn’t get more acclaim on release, John Garvin recognizes first that it is because Days Gone was launched with technical problemslike bugs and a wobbly framerate. But since we really have to find a culprit, he then attacks the press and more particularly the testers :

There were testers who didn’t even bother to play the game. And there were woke testers who couldn’t bear to see a gruff white biker staring at the ass of the person he’s on a date with.. »

Yes, there is something to roll your eyes at. It is very difficult to keep our seriousness and not to breathe a sigh of weariness at the use of this portmanteau word designating everything, and especially nothing, which is once again used to justify all the misfortunes of the world while Garvin s invent all possible excuses to justify the failure of his game.

This tweet will only remain online for a few hours, before John Garvin protects access to his account. No doubt he will find another culprit (apart from him) for this story in a few months.
