Updates will continue in 2022 on DayZ, fortunately. In parallel with the first update of the year, 1.16, Bohemia Interactive explained its vision of things for the next few months. For example, the map Livonia, which had arrived as DLC, will be particularly concerned, with the addition, normally of new points of interest. The environment of this map will also be improved, with the aim of making everything a little more interactive.
Each update will also bring a new weapon, as per usual. Besides, we should have at least five updates in 2022, when the seasonal events will be back. We will have four, which will be filled with new content, to bring a breath of fresh air to the survival game. Vehicle handling could also be improved, thanks to a newer version of the engine.
For the rest, the developers also want to focus on the controller support, in order to make it as ergonomic as possible. Of course, the optimization of the game and the quality of life will also be at the center of the updates, Bohemia Interactive does not want those with old hardware to be penalized.
