For quite some time now, DayZ players have gotten used to enjoying content updates quite often. For this month of February, it is version 1.16 which is available on all platforms, essentially correcting the problems raised by the community, while improving certain points. On the content side, we only have the right to a new weapon.
This is, as you can see in the video below, du Bizon, an SMG using .380 rounds, with an extra-large magazine, to compensate for its lower damage than other weapons. The other addition is an alarm clock which, in addition to allowing you to see the time, can be programmed to scare your enemies, set a trap for them, or attract infected. A variation of the motorcycle helmet is also introduced.
For the rest, we have the right to balancing, or the correction of some problems. Here are the most important, according to Bohemia Interactive:
- Starvation health damage was not applied when continuing to drink water.
- Characters would sometimes side punch in melee combat, and move forward, even if there were obstacles in front of them.
- It was possible to destroy the walls of base buildings (on fences or watchtowers) simply by shooting the frames from the outside.
- The tolerance for placing base building structures (kits and tents) has been increased, which should allow for much easier placement of these items on uneven terrain.
- Bear traps can break the legs of the infected.
- Firearms with internal magazines now have a random amount of bullets.
